Thirty-four ash samples of incinerators (including 6 comparative samples), which were gave over by the Department of Waste Management EPA in December first, 2003, were measured for PCDD/Fs by the Super Micro Mass Research and Technology Center. The results were delivered to Department of Waste Management EPA in December 31, 2003. Analyses of ash samples followed the US EPA modified Method 1613B. For increased the reliability, the Department of Waste Management EPA treated some ash samples as blind-test and delivered to different lab to compare the results. The first comparison of blind-test were proceeded by the Department of Waste Management EPA by choosing two samples in each group and each sample was divided into two then delivering these samples to each lab for analysis. The second comparison of blind-test were proceeded by the Department of Waste Management EPA by separating samples by Environmental Analysis Laboratory, EPA and delivering these samples to each lab for analysis.
